Jack has been talking about taking his training wheels off for some time now. I guess we've just been busy and also wanted to make sure he was certain he was ready. He did really well! It was hot out so we didn't spend too much time, but he got the hang of it pretty quickly. Hopefully we'll get out for another lesson tonight. I have a video clip to get up too. It's annoying that we live on a hill making it difficult to do much outside our house. Silly, but I keep thinking our next house must be in a flat cul-de-sac.
Henry looking adorable in his shorts and cowboy boots. He played in the sprinklers while Jack rode.
Josh decided to do it on the grass to minimize fall injuries. Seemed to work. He did crash in to a garbage can as soon as we moved to the sidewalk. Luckily that didn't discourage him. No major injuries while learning to ride a bike, but apparently exiting the bath tub poses more of a danger. Last night Jack, as usual, ran from the bath with his towel on his head being a super hero, slipped and sliced open his knee on the metal piece that separates the carpet and bathroom floor. Josh took him to urgent care for 6 stitches. Our first! Poor guy is being tough now, but it was traumatic for all at the time.

Oh boy, stitches and ER visits begin...brace yourself for upteen years of them! Always traumatic but good bonding moments. Sorry he cut his knee. Give him a kiss and hug for us.
