Catching Up

What a few weeks it has been! Thankfully, Henry is almost 100% better. He still coughs every now and then, but overall is happier than I've ever seen him. All stages are fun, of course, but this one is great. He laughs at everything, is so smart and funny...just wants to enjoy life. So, that's the good news. The bad...Josh and Jack now have it. I had Jack started on antibiotics a few days ago, seeing the clear signs of pneumonia coming, and he's on his way to normal again. Josh is still hacking away though. I may have to force him to the doctor on Monday.

Josh's Grandpa Dee in Chicago passed away last week. He had been sick for some time, but still, this has been difficult for all. He and Josh enjoyed a close, unique relationship since he was a kid. With a car full of oxygen for Henry, we drove out there last Friday. All things considered, the drive went extremely well. We stopped for a break in Omaha, which made it much easier. Once there, we spent lots of wonderful time with Josh's family, celebrating and remembering Grandpa. There are TONS of pictures to come. In the meantime...a few from a week or two ago...

Jack and Josh flying his kite in the front yard. Jack had SO much fun!

Henry playing happily with hardly a complaint about the oxygen...
Happy Birthday Josh!!! Date night and family birthday plans had to be canceled, but still, we had cake! Thanks to the Harpers, a yummy ice cream cake...
