Grandma and Grandpa Post Visit

Bob and Maureen came out last week.  We crammed a lot of fun in to a few days!  First up was a hike in Woodland Park.  Actually, this was the hike we did a few months back that was covered in snow.  No snow now, just beautiful green everywhere.
Snack break snuggles with grandma.
Jack and Grandma stopped often to make a list of all the things they saw on the hike. And daddy made great hiking sticks!

That evening we went to Flying W Ranch for some cowboy fun.
Jack working hard to lasso the bull. Love the tongue in his cheek!

Watching Grandpa give it a try.
It was such a gorgeous place.  Nestled peacefully up against the mountain next to Garden of the Gods.
Group photo attempts always end with the little one escaping...
Josh and I snuck out very very early one morning to hike "the incline".  It's a trail that goes straight up the mountain near Manitou, eventually going on to the top of Pikes Peak.  The first mile is stairs literally straight up!  Josh had done it a few times before, but I'd been wanting to try.  Challenging, but fun!  There were crazy old men running down the stairs, but we opted for the quiet 4 mile hike down the long way.
About half way up, looking down.  Gorgeous views!  Especially at sunrise.
