Disneyworld Part 1

What a wonderful vacation! Truly.  We started with 5 days at Disney World and ended with 4 days at the beach.  Perfect!
Mom and I woke the boys bright ant early on our first day to have breakfast a Chef Mickey's.  What an experience.  All the characters visit each table so everyone gets personal attention and time for pictures.  This was the boys' first time up close and personal with the characters so they were shy (especially Henry), but still enjoyed every minute of it.  Mickey was the only one Henry would go near and he ran up to him for a big hug.  By later in the day Jack was ready to talk to, get pictures with, and ask for autographs from every character we came across.  A friend from preschool did an autograph book when he went so Jack wanted to do the same.  It's full and a new prized possession for him (despite not knowing who half the characters are!).

Safari ride at Animal Kingdom.  Nora did really well considering she didn't get a single  normal nap the whole time we were at Disney.  She mostly took catnaps on Josh, but was still her happy, easy-going self.

A very tired Henry. Napless Henry is not quite as happy as napless Nora, but he did his best.  He asked to be carried a lot...well, most of the time...and he took naps in the stroller. He was all about the "roller coasters" and was very disappointed when he wasn't tall enough.  Next time!

Possibly Jack's favorite part of the trip.  His cheetah face.  He cried such genuinely sad tears as we washed it off that night...broke my heart.

Grandpa and Henry. Great bonding time for the boys and my brothers and parents.

Brave Jack touching some kind of creepy crawly thing. He touched a snake too.   Couldn't possibly be my son.

Fun with great grandpa.  He was such a trooper. Dad wheeled him around in the wheelchair (providing us line benefits on many rides) and he joined in just about everything.

On the same carousel...2008.  If you have time, go back to this post from our trip four years ago...fun to relive that.

Sweet cheeks snoozing on daddy.

Lots of shoulder rides on the uncles and daddy and grandpa.

Escaping the rain at a pub in England at Epcot.

The boys were restless as we waited out the rain.  Nothing a few Ipods couldn't cure.  I kinda hate that they even know how to work all these various electronics, but they do come in handy in a pinch.

Henry's vacation mantra: "pick me up".
