To go along with his requested Air Force Jet cake, we thought the Airplane Restaurant would be fun for dinner. One definitely does not go there for the food, but the boys (the grown-ups too) had fun anyway. How could you not love dinner IN an airplane?? There were tables along the cabin, but the cockpit and the Boom operator area in the back were open for exploring.
My adorably silly boys. Have I told you how we finally got them to smile for pictures? Embarrassing to admit, but we have them say silly words like "dirty diaper"...works like a charm.
Wasn't feeling adventurous enough to tackle an airplane cake so found a coupon for a local bakery that did a great job. Jack thought it was perfect. Tasted yummy too. And, the Harpers were able to come over and share!
I can't tell you how much fun the boys had with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandparents are the best :)
We went out to dinner downtown last night to celebrate my birthday since they all had to head back to AZ early this morning. Lots of eating out this weekend! Josh and I had a lovely date night Friday. Great dinner downtown followed by The Kings Speech at our favorite little theater (picture coffee shop and bar inside!). Had a pretty low-key, relaxing day today. Some errands and lunch at my favorite, PF Changs. Then home for a nice long nap and dinner cooked by Josh. And now, a chick-flick on the couch. Perfect end to a perfect weekend.
