zoo and more birthday fun

The Harpers invited us to join them at the zoo yesterday. What a great zoo. It's small enough to be easily managed, but full of great animals, almost all of whom were out to see. And, it's nestled in the mountains, with a great view of Colorado Springs.
Giraffes! Probably a dozen of them. I was shocked Jack asked to feed them. If you ask me, the tongue is creepy and Jack thought so too. But, he finished the job, with a little help. Super excited to be up close and personal with giraffes...yes, that's a smile...Little climbers...Very difficult to get three children to look at camera and smile...Ice cream makes me this happy too...Had to get one more use out of the $5 birthday hat. Decided against cake twice in one week, so we opted for an ice cream party. Poor Henry burst in to tears a few bites in. Baby brain freeze? It was pitiful...he kept trying to eat it and kept crying.Getting the hang of the present thing...It's fun to sit on things...
