After a very long day, we made it to DC on Wednesday afternoon. It's COLD!!! I'm going to have to get used to this transporting kids in the winter thing again. We're staying at a hotel for a few days while my mom is still here with us. It took Josh almost 5 days to get out of Afghanistan, but he is finally on his way!! He will get here either Saturday or Sunday afternoon depending on whether the flight crew needs a 24 hour break in Germany. Hopefully they don't!
Jack's 2nd birthday was yesterday!! We did a few special things (pancake breakfast and dinner with the Sellers), but we're going to really celebrate when daddy gets home.
Our outing for today was a haircut for Jack. Of course he looks cute, but it's so much shorter! Here's a not-so-great shot of it...with runny nose and cookie in mouth.
