We had a wonderful, relaxing Christmas with my parents and brothers in Colorado. It was a great feeling to host our first Christmas and in our own house! I of course have tons of pictures to post, but it's going to take a bit of time, so your patience is appreciated :).
My grandma King in Omaha has been battling with heart troubles for a while now. They were doing everything possible to avoid surgery, but when she had more pains on Christmas, it had to be done. Thank goodness we now live close enough to hop in the car and go. And even more of a blessing was that my parents were already half-way there. So, Sunday night we packed the boys up for their first road trip. They didn't sleep the whole time like I was hoping, but they did pretty great. Surgery was Wednesday. They ended up doing a quadruple bypass from which she is now recovering, after only a few complications. Almost the entire family was there, which turned out to be fun, especially for the great grandkids. So, I have lots of pictures from that too...just give me a couple days!
