Crayons and Yogurt

I made an attempt at being crafty and made some homemade crayons for Jack. It was actually very easy, but they had to "dry" for over a week. Guess it won't be a good project for when that immediate gratification need sets in! He's still trying to get the hang of the whole coloring thing, but lasted a few minutes and made a few cute drawings.

We decided it's about time Jack start feeding himself everything. He finally started holding the sippy cup on his own, but we still feed him things like yogurt and oatmeal. It's of course my fault, trying to avoid the mess, but it's about time! So, we gave it a try with yogurt today. It was funny, he was confused at first. He started by just dipping his fingers in before deciding to dip the spoon. By the end though, he wanted me to put the yogurt on his spoon so he could put it in this mouth!

He looks like he survived the experiment with his pride intact. An he didn't make much of a mess. So cute I can hardly stand it. As to the crayons, be careful that he doesn't develop his artistic talent on the walls! Love, Grandma King
